And after 3 hours, the color stay on!!! It's amazing!!!!!

No matter how hard I try to rub it off, its almost impossible!

My boyfriend is super impressed !

While this color is super long staying or i would say waterproof, it is not sticky!!!! Just I think it is a bit drying to use it alone! So please put on your lip balm before using this !!

I love how I do not need to reapply my lipstick every time I eat and drink!!!

GUESS watch

I am really excited to know that GUESS has just launched a new funky and pretty watches Polycarbonate range, which includes Clearly GUESS, with a crystal embellished triangle and GUESS logo in a transparent setting. This lightweight "wrist candy" comes in 4 colors: bright pink, purple, yellow and orange. See the picture below for the watches images.

The watches all look nice, cool and awesome. I really hope to own one of these watches. It would be great if I am wearing a GUESS watch that represent my characteristic and personality. GUESS watch just simply the best watch to have and I need it to tell me the time and It just helps me to look more charm, youth, chic, confident and elegant.

My favorite color: Pink!

Among the four colors, I love the pink watch so much which is my favorite color. Pink is a really a beauty color that denotes love, romance, youth, cheersful and peaceful. Pink just means many things, it shows me as a clam person, relax, love acceptance, anti violent and healthy. I am some kind of fun, soft, happy and sweet girl which is well shows by the Pink color. I just simply like pink very much and I hope to have everything in pink color. I want to be a Pink Lady one day!

What does it mean to love someone?
Because my sister said, "i don't really like her, but i love her by default."

 My sister has a real unique flamboyant character. Love her or hate her, she really doesn't care.She is smart and talented in so many ways. Always engaging in a conversation that makes you question your level of intelligence (or stupidity). 

Currently, overqualified and underpaid in her current job as a Lab Eye Technician, she was forced to stay in the hospital for another year. I knew that when the time comes, she's going to be far far away from here. (Please don't leave me!!) 

So anyway, watching fire performers has specifically intrigue us during our recent trip to the Philipines. Coming back, she started to show obsession towards playing poi. Innovatively creating D.I.Y poi with garbage bag with rice packets to pantyhose with tennis ball, and finally, improvised to sock poi. And now she has her own new toy. Fire poi. Yes, she has now start playing it with fire, mind you. And in my opinion, almost professionally, in just 3 short months!

well, i started to love big eye contact lens few mths ago.

rin rin and me were toking on msn and at the same time, we were looking at free trial contact lens online! erm...we are actually not short sighted! hahahaha well, i can already hear noises coming from everywhere....

anyway, it all started with us getting the trial...4 pairs of freshlook colored contact lens! the green, brown, blue and grey one! it's a one day trial only. i had to ensure that i will be going out for the whole day so i can put the lens to good use!

by the way, the colors were soooooo natural! even the green one managed to blend into our brown eye balls and end up, not making me looked liked a monster!

maxi eyes! as advertised by sun ho!

the color that i had got is maxi brown!

although it's called maxi brown but it doesn't really make the eye balls go BROWN! infact, our eye balls are all along a little bit of brown color, so it blend in quite well! the outline of the contact lens is liked pointed sharp teeth! so cute!!

nice!! erm...but one thing abt maxi eye contact lens is...they are actually quite dry on the eyes. i had used the freshlook trial one! comparing both of them, although the freshlook is a one day contact lens but the moisture level is so much better than a one mth maxi brown!

as for effects, i would like to say that maxi brown is more efficient in keeping the eyes looking 'bigger'. i think that's partly due to the fact that the outline is brown and not colored. therefore, eyes looked more natural.

rin rin also bought me a grey colored lens from maxi eyes!

The first word that actually flashed across my mind when I first saw these photographs was

GEISHA!!!

Do I strike a chord with you too?

These photographs were taken 2 years back on a trip to the land of the rising sun, and no, I did not purposely powder my face to look like a geisha. I merely had powder foundation on, had a picture of myself taken using the camera's flash, and the result turned out to be extremely unflattering. Yes, whitening is in the trend these days, but I simply look...GHOSTLY.

Now, take a look at this picture instead:

This picture was also taken with flash photography (with the exact same camera to ensure total fairness), and that I had make-up on too. The only difference is that this time around, my face looks more natural than the one in the pictures above.

I hope you guys are as amazed as I am!!

I finally figured out why I looked so different, and I attribute this to the use of a BB cream (Blemish balm) instead of a powder foundation.

That's probably why I rarely use my powder foundation now--Absolute refusal to turn into a GEISHA again.

To speak the truth, I never liked having my pictures taken using flash photography, because my face will not only turn out to be too white (Like the ones above) but also look like an OIL PAN. It was only until I started investing in a good BB cream, was I able to achieve an almost flawless looking face on a picture taken with flash.

So, this is a tip that I want to share with all ladies out there.

If you don't want to look like a drag queen or look like you've put on too much make-up in photographs, choose to use a liquid foundation or BB cream instead of compact powder. You would look more natural and less "made-up" because a compact powder would usually give you a more cakey look. If you really want to use a compact powder, use it only to set your BB cream or liquid foundation or for touch-ups. Otherwise, just powder on your T-zone and undereyes to keep oil shine at bay.

Hope you ladies find this tip useful, and that you'll soon look forward to flash photography as much as I do =)

The first time I tried IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), it was 10 years ago. IPL is a light therapy that uses intense light energy to rejuvenate the skin or remove unwanted hair permanently from any part of the body. After three sessions, I successfully removed about 95 percent of my underarm hair even though I didn’t complete the course. Over the years, I’ve tried various IPL treatments for facial rejuvenation and hair removal. It is one of my least favourite beauty treatments. It is painful – each light “spark” feels like someone shooting rubberband at my skin.

Recently, I was invited to go down to Regina - a hair removal concept from Japan that specialises in IPL hair removal services. I was reluctant to try another IPL but the marketing person assured me that the technology is much improved and that it’s painless (when didn’t I hear that before). I decided to give it another go. Fifteen minutes later, it was all over and to my surprise, it was super fast and really painless! Unlike the other IPL services that I’ve tried, this device was super efficient – the procedure was done swiftly and above all, hair regrowth is much slower. A second session is due in six weeks and even though it’s nearly a month, I haven’t seen much regrowth.

It’s interesting how we can actually categorize bloggers. We have the food bloggers, lifestyle bloggers, movie bloggers, beauty bloggers etc. If you ask me what kind of blogger category I fall under, I’m afraid I can’t give you a specific answer.

Nonetheless, I would like to think of myself as a BEAUTY BLOGGER since I enjoy reading on make-up and beauty, and will blog about beauty products every now and then. Yet again, I can never associate the word “BEAUTY” with my appearance, so it feels a tad unconvincing to call myself a beauty blogger, right?

No, it’s not that I’m inconfident of my appearance. I may not be a beauty, but hey, I think I am cute (Sticks out tongue). It’s just that a couple of weeks ago, I read the popular celebrity blogger Xiaxue's tweet on how she feels that a beauty blogger should either have the LOOKS or GOOD SKIN. Do I possess both? It’s quite evident that I don’t belong to the former. As for the latter, it really took me a lot of effort and money to achieve the skin I have now. It’s not entirely blemish or oil free, but it has improved by leaps and bounds all thanks to good skincare products that I’ve read up on through beauty magazines, and of course, diligence in adhering to a skincare regime.

The picture on your left was how I looked almost 2-3 years back, when I was still on the plump side, always donned T-shirts and Jeans and had no inkling what make-up was.

And now 3 years later, you've got a young lady who at least knows how to dress reasonably well and knows what make up she should use to accentuate her features.

All these didn't happen overnight. It was quite a bit of struggle with my inner self in wanting to make a life-transforming change, but I was glad I took the first step, and yes, I've never looked back again.

For the ladies out there who are still uncertain on whether you should go for a make-over, change your wardrobe or simply change that hairstyle which you've been wearing for months...Trust me, go for it and you will never regret.

Can I safely call myself a BEAUTY BLOGGER now?

I guess I can, since pictures are the best testament to the demeanor of a true beauty blogger.

So if you've been following my twitter, @yijingloves, you'd have known that i d.i.y-ed my gradient pink nails and promised a tuitorial here. So here it is..

Introduction the cheapo nail polishes i got a Daiso Vivocity today...

$2 each, the total cost of my very buay paisehly proclaimed pro looking nails cost less than $6 altogether. Barely $1 since each bottle can be use for damn long. Up till now, never had i finished using ANY bottle of nail polish! (They usually dry up before i get to finishing them) Okay, now to my super easy tutorial. You don't need steady hands to get the perfect looking gradient!

( I didn't include base coat as a step as it's optional)

Please note that you have to make sure each coat is completely dry before proceeding to the next step

Step 1:

Apply one coat of colour 1 French Pink all over nails(Or any other colour you please, be it blue or purple. So long you find the correct nail colours it should be alright)

Step 2:

Apply colour 2 on the top 1/4 of your nails. Make sure that colour 2 is a really sheer colour, it doesn't work if the colour is not sheer.

Step 3:

Apply another layer of colour 2 over your nails. This time on the top 1/2, going over the layer you did in step 2 to get this effect:

Step 4:

Apply nail polish 3 all over the nail

Step 5 (Optional):

Apply another coat of nail polish 3

And wala! Chio professional looking nails (:

i already forgot what i had wrote as my hobbies when i was in primary school. but if i did remember, i thought i wrote 'playing barbie dolls'.

however, i really do love to play barbie dolls even until now. it's just that it's not a priority now. other things will have to come first!

if u were to ask me wat's my hobby now, i would mention the below

1) shopping (clothes, beauty products, books.. and the list goes on)

2) reading (yup! i really love to read!!)

3) cooking (only when i am not busy)

4) blogging

5) yoga/kick boxing (dunno these are hobbies or not!)

6) eating!?!?!??!

look at the list! as we grow older, our desire just get more and more. i dun even think those are considered hobbies! however, these are the things that i definitely love to do!!

lastly, i really hope i can pick up sign language again. i felt quite upset when i totally ignore sign language and put that thick book inside the cupboard. i missed learning sign language.

a lot of pple asked me why i love to learn sign language. the reason was quite sad to them. hahaha cos i dun really love to talk and also, i wish to communicate with the pple who can't talk and can only use sign language to communicate. but i am feeling so ashame that i had not even started picking it back! i had almost forgotten most of the things i had learnt

I MUST MAKE IT A POINT TO TAKE OUT MY SIGN LANGUAGE BOOK!!

All geared up with earpiece and charger, i make my way to Ubi and charged towards the building.

Being all smirky, i said to the receptionist, "Hey, here's my documents. Give it back to me. Now!" (while having flasback of the knock on the window)

"Oh" she said, "The storeman is out for lunch, be back later."

OUT FOR LUNCH?? Oh come on, some people life is at stake now, and he's having lunch??

I stomped out of the lobby, feeling enraged. I'm not about to wait while that guy glut through he's lunch. And besides i have work to do.

I was furious. I was mad. I went back to the car and start calling ( not while driving though, heh) some friends to help me collect it with my consent. After receiving no answers from them, i was able to calm myself down and when straight back to work.

Why am i acting as if its between life and death? I mean, come on, they are worst thing you can die from. Using a black and white phone with polyphonic ringtone is definitely not one of them (well, unless it explode). The reason why Dr Martin Cooper invented handphone is not too take pictures, or whats-apping or even to see where's the best Makan Place. It is to make phone calls! Thats the whole point!

People has been acting like having iphones is a neccessity in ones life. Like it comes before food and shelter.

And i have been a victim of all this hype.

I need to emotionally organized myself and get away from this people.

Well, untill tomorrow that is. Yipee!

I was awaken by a rude shock this morning, breathless and debating with myself whether my legs is still intact with my body. I have been burning the candle at both end.  

It felt like just a moment ago when i pop a pill and syrup woods for Sahur( meal eaten before dawn) before going to bed. And now 3 hours later, i'm working in a bank.I'm feeling rather groggy and sluggish.

And right after work, i will be heading back to my space at Paya Lebar for the month long Ramadhan Bazaar.  11 days left! Somehow i knew, its going to be a fruitful event! 

So what's next??? Who knows?!

But what i do know, there'll be alot more to come. Visualize. Visualize.
