So Belle and I are obsessed with fashion blogs (it’s the only news source we need—who cares about ST these days?), and we’re both excited and a little nervous about having our own. We’ll try our best to live up to some of our favourite reads which include Fashion is Spinach where Betsy finds the cutest things online, Fashionologie which dishes out the latest fashion happenings, and The Satorialist. OK fine. There’s like no way we can ever be like Scott Schuman who photographs the most amazingly stylish people, but you know, we’ll definitely try.

Did you guys go crazy at the Club 21 Bazaar sale at Pit Building yesterday? We zipped there after work (Aside to the boss: See, we did not sneak out during office hours) and even though we were so late, we managed to find a handful of pretty cool things – a studded Marc Jacobs bag, a pair of ferocious (that’s when calling it as fierce does not cut it) D&G flats, beautifully printed Marni frocks and an adorable Thakoon shift.

And while we were there, we started reminiscing about the one time when the sale was right upstairs the CLEO office early last year. Can you imagine how delirious we were? We were there, like every half an hour (ok Boss, ignore this), and we realised that it doesn’t matter how early you hit the Club 21 sale, cos they take out cool things a few times through out the day. Case in point: I managed to score a cute Luella bag on the late afternoon on the 3rd day of the sale—and I was pretty sure I didn’t see it there the previous 34 times I was loitering near that table. Lesson here: Even if the sale’s been going on for a while, it’s essential that you still go.

After that, we headed to Old School for the +9 SS09 show. While it was sweltering hot – there was no AC whatsoever! – the turn-out had all the coolest kids in town (editors, models, designers, art students), and the clothes by these nine upcoming and local talents, had an indie-edgy aesthetic that still looked wearable. Nice! And if you haven’t seen it, you might want to hop down to Front Row to see what you’re missing out on. Trust us, it’s pretty awesome.

Loves,

Daph (size 35) and Belle (size 39)
