Belle and I stuck this to our wall of fashion icons when it arrived in the mail.
Isn't this such a cute picture of Karl and a crazy-awesome pair of heels from Chanel? It's one of the key pieces from the Resort 2009 collection, and Belle and I are head over heels with the accessories we saw when Chanel showed at the pool side of the Crowne Plaza.
There were the flirty double-camellia rings which will go with everything from a tough leather jacket to a diaphanous pastel dress and fun multi-faceted bangles that just got me all excited to embrace spring-summer collections (I'm usually a fall-winter girl… I just love dark hues).
And these are our favourite dresses―the one on the left has a glamour hippie vibe to it, while the other one is such so urban and sophisticated. Nice!
And talking about Chanel bags, here's something you probably might not know. You know that lovely lovely bag with the interlocking double Cs closure? That's NOT called the 2.55, as a lot of people―including fashion insiders― mistake it for. Karl Lagerfeld added that in 1983, and the Chanel people call it the Timeless Classic. The 2.55 actually has a rectangular clasp or the Mademoiselle Lock, which is exactly how Coco Chanel designed it when it was first release in February 1955. Now you know!
Don't go mixing up 2.55s and Timeless Classics now!
